Default Standard Lazy Ace

I would like to build the Standard Lazy Ace from RCM plans but don't have any details on the model except what RCP prints out.
What kind of airfoil does it have?
I would like to install a 26 cc gaz engine in it.

Any comments on this plan?

Thanks

The airfoil is flat bottomed. I flew mine initially with a SuperTigre .90. It was a dog. I then replaced that with a US 41. Flew drastically better but was overpowered. I have a Zenoah 26 on it now but havent' flown it yet.

The plans are simple and straight forward. You should not encounter any problems. I didn't care for the rubber band mounting method for the top wing so I build mine like the Ace 4-120 bipe with nylon wing bolts.

It's very easy to fly once you get it in the air. On the ground it's a taildragger and will ground loop without some back elevator. Landings are easy unless there is a crosswind. It will stick it's nose right in it.

Carlgrover Let use know how it flies with that Zenoah 26 . I pick up a kit  at a sale and would like to go gas in it . No kit bashing here i build them as they are suppose to be. Except  the size of the engines. I go to the high side of the scale .You can always power down.Later

Hello,

It is one of most my favourite planes... I have made first plane Lazy Ace have made in 1982. In 2006 (nostalgia!) I have again bought drawings and have made it once again. Now my son with pleasure flies with it biplane. It is the magnificent plane!!
I had experience with the motor 20см3 (4 steps). Then I used 20см3 Zenoah. Now I have established motor DLE 30. With all motors the model very well flies!
