Dualsky VR Pro Duo - Advice

Hey All,
I was looking for a forum area where people discuss things like Voltage Regulators, Power Supplies and Servo Board, but after a few 'refined' searches, I couldnt find a place where they are discussed in detail, so I will ask here, in the hope that some of the Giant Scale guys have some answers.

A mate and I have acquired a TopRC FW-190, it was completed, and has not done a maiden yet, but was bought RTF, without RX. The previous owner installed an older Powerbox setup, but it doesnt have the S.Bus capability of some of the newer ones. While it is a decent unit, there are a few space limitations that are making us re-think how to put it together. We will use either a Jeti Rx and Tx combo, or a Futaba combo. We dont want to spend mountains of money on it....yet. But the plan is to see how it flies, and then, if its a decent plane, will put a radial in it, and some better components. It currently has a GP88 2T gasser in it. We hate the 2T sound...simple as that.

Anyway, we either use the Powerbox Professiona thats in it, and use the 2 Futaba Rx's we have, each is 8-ch and in a master/slave config, can run 8-ch on one Rx and then the 2 extra channels on the slave Rx. Its a bit of a waste having 2 rx's in there, as there is no real redundancy anyway. Problem is that it is might cramped in there, and would be nice to use an option of the Dualsky ProDuo (Dualsky VR Pro duo Voltage Regulator) and the Jeti REX10. The dualsky only has 4 servo direct connects and the rest will go through the RX. Maybe ailerons and elevator on the reg and the rest direct.

Does anyone have any experience with these units? I use the VR Pro unit, which is smaller, in some of my 30cc 3D and warbirds, and they work nicely as a simple regulator, just not sure if the bigger unit is up to snuff on a bigger plane. They say its for 100c planes and can run 10x 30kg servo's.

Any advice greatly appreciated.
Andy
