Yes I now wat you mean I think it is for major adjust on the real Waco , i have also seen it on a lot of pictures.

I have made the stab only removable (see earlier pictures), i think if you made the first sadle adjustable in height you are close to the solution.

Cesar.

Thank you Alex, i will try to keep the spirit up.

I have finished the panels on the fuse. i think that after the paintjob it looks better, the screws are now to much visible.

Hi Cesar,

Compliment, your plane looks "GREAT"!!![sm=thumbup.gif][sm=thumbup.gif][sm=thumbup.gif]
Which Covering material do you use? And is it easy to handle?
In my opinion the screwheads will get more in the background after painting, same mind like you!
What kind of paint are you planing to use,1K or 2K ?

I have to wait two weeks more, until I will recieve my kit, so told me Peter Barth[:o]

I´ve gived up my plans, to make the stab pretendable, because of reasons of stability.

What´s a Servo is it, in the rear of the cockpit?

Bernie

I used a HiTec 5955 digital that puts out 333oz @ 6 volts. .................. Cost is about $96 U.S. each.
If you have any questions , please let me know and I will try to help.

Steve
Be glad Steve, this Servo costs here in Germany 117€, nearly 150 USD !!!!!!!
I will use 4 Hitec HS-645MG, one for every aileron.

Bernie

RE: Buiding pics Waco YMF-5 Barth Modellbau

Well one servo on each will be very good. I'm sorry that the 5955's cost so much in Germany. That just seems unfair to you over in Germany to have to pay almost two times the price for the same thing. there may be a way to order them here in the States and have them shipped to your home for far less than buying them from a German hobby supplier.

Hi Bernie,

The covering material is Oratex it is a polyester fabric and it is verry easy to aply.

Look at http://www.oracover.de/xml/frames.xm...ml?node_id=273

I wil use 1K paint, that's a litle bit easyer for me to use. The color i wil be use is RAL 9001. I have not the possibility to spray the the paint so iI wil be use a felt roller.

I hope for you that you not have to waite to long for your Waco, let me now when you recieved it.
The servo's I wil be used are the 645MG and the 755HB for rudder.

You say"not pretendable" okee but for transport it is better to make it removable I think.

Regards,
Cesar.

RE: Buiding pics Waco YMF-5 Barth Modellbau

Hi Ruud,

thanks for your quick reply. Oratex is also the material I want to do the covering, I see, I had a good choice ;)

I think. the HS 755HB is a little bit too small for the rudder and elevator. Elevator is the most important rudder in the model,
and if you loose the elevator, you loose the model!!!! I would recommend the HS 5745, for the elevator and the rudder.
It has a power of nearly 19 Kg!!! But this is only my opinion. If anybody else think otherwise.....post!
Or the HS 5955´s, but they are more expansive

I prefer a color, something between RAL 1018 and RAL 1023, I´m a yellow fan.

Chuck sent me the the dwg files for the decals, thanks to him...good fellow[sm=wink_smile.gif] Thanks to him!

Now I wish you for the rest of the weekend best success for your work[sm=wink_smile.gif]

Hi Bernie
I wil work with 6 V on the servo's. the 755HB is than 13,2 kG.

I wil use for the elevator two servo's, for each flap one servo that's a total of aprox. 21 kG. I dont no if you wil use two servo's on the elevator?

Cesar.

Hi Steve,

IT LOOK´S GREAT, compliment !!! [sm=thumbs_up.gif][sm=thumbs_up.gif][sm=thumbs_up.gif]

Is it you, on the photo?

Yes, I like yellöw, but I prefer more Yellow with red :D

@cesar

Thats good, it´s a solution, if one servo failure, you have a second on the other flap.
but in this case, I think so, it works like a little aileron and you have to steer against with the ailerons?[sm=confused.gif]

Greeetz to both and all

Bernie

The headrest is fixed to the fuse.
I am now busy with the cabane struts and the mounting of the upperwing center section, it is a precise work because it sets the angle off the upper wing.

Thank you for the link Bernie, i have read and study it for 2 hours and it give me a lot of extra info.

I am now busy with the N struts.
I have placed the fuse with the nose flat on the ground and put on the wings with the tubes. I have not so much room but this way gives a me a good way to maesure etc.
The angle off the top wing centre section i have already checked and is set on -1 degree.

Hi Cesar,
by heaven, it´s not easy, to built in a such small room a Waco 3m[sm=thumbs_up.gif]
Where are you planing the mounting points of fly-wires, outside or inside of the wings/fuse.
Do you use the wires from Gautschi? www.bredavik.se/flyingwire

Great looking Waco , I see in the photos that the flying wires are not there. Is this just because you didn't want to rig it up in that snow? or are they just not required on your design?.
Would love to have one but the size, weight and the COST is so far out of the average modlers range it will remain a dream to 99% of most of us average Joe's

Hy Dany,

great finish, congratulations! I love this plane(and my woman)!

I´m missing too the flying wires, same first mind like Steve........it´snot so easy to mount them with gloves, ha ha ha :D

Good job

I am not mounting The fly-wires inside the wing, i made the mounting points on the same spot were the struts are comming. the two plates.
How, i dont now yet but with a kind of a clip and M3 kwiklinks were I first put out the pin. When i am ready i will show you with some pictures.

I known the wires that you named but it is a little bit expensive.

I think the wire that came with the kit is a little bit to thin, i have one size thicker which i will use.

And Dany, nice pictures off your new Waco, with that engine it will be a real performer....verry nice.

Cesar.

Hi Ruud,

what´s abot news of your Waco?
I´m still waiting for my kit, and this in Germany, the home country of the manufactor......crazy!!!!
In one week I will cancel my order, so I told to Peter Barth.

Perhaps I will build a Boeing PT-17 Stearman 88"( 2,24m), but it´s not a kit.I bought onlyt the plan from Nick Ziroli.
But it´sa lot of work, if you have to built every part by yourself.

Here in Germany we say: The hope is dying at least.....I will wait for one week more. [&o][&o][&o]

Regards
Bernie

If there is anyone in the USA, who knows how to ship a Kit from Genesis to Germany cheep, post!!!!!!
