Stinson 108 ARF
 

Greetings All,

Didn't know where to put this so I thought I would try here first, didn't see a giant scale in the electric forum.

Was wondering if anyone had any information on this plane from HL? have done search but not much on it.

I ordered it up today and plan on putting a hacker A60 18L in it and running on 12S 5000, with Xoar 22 X 10 electric prop, I hope I have enough ground clearance on it with that prop.

It may be little over powered with that combo but would rather have little extra and throttle back than be running flat out and need little more.

Any comments on this would be welcome.

It sure is a very nice looking Stinson 108. I have come very close to purchasing it several times, but I am just having a little trouble with the price. What color did you go with? My favorite is the cream/blue. Please post a bunch of pic's when you get it. I am assembling their 1/4 scale Champ now and it is very nice. From what I have heard the 108 is supposed to be even higher quality than the Champ.

I went with the Cream/Blue, and yes I looked at it for a long time many times but pulled the trigger on it. If I was going to do it it had to be now or just wish I would have.
I will get some pics when it arrives and I get going on it, I think by going electric it will be a nice project.
The Champ is nice and I was looking at that also but the Stinson was it for me.

Sounds good! I can't wait to see it. Mabey when they have a sale on it I will toss one in my basket. :D Several years ago I considered the Goldberg version, but as soon as I saw how un-scale and goofey it looked, there was no way I wanted one. On the other hand, the HL 108 is beautiful and pretty dog gone scale. The outline is right on the money. Beautiful!!

A little up date after BO for the last 3 mo the brown truck dropped off the Power plant for the Stinson Hacker A60 18L WOW what a motor have a few things to clear off the bench and should start the assembly in a week or so.
