Default Motor recommendation

I acquired an old Sig Quarter Midget kit designed for a .15 glow engine. I was considering using an OS .15 CVA, which is a strong .15 glow but am leaning towards electric. I would like some recommendations for an equivalent electric motor from someone more experienced. I'm not looking for warp speed here...more like a 100 mph cruise without taxing the motor/battery combo.

I'm a long-time glow driver so please keep the terminology generic if possible!

Thanks in advance.

Hi, saw your post and know the issues you face. Just hope I can be of help.
My favorite E-site is "HobbyPartz.com", they have been my power/motor source for quite awhile. For the plane you refrenced, EXCEEDS Monster Power 15 motor, has 425 watt power rating. 751watts=1hp more/less. You will need a 40amp with BEC brushless motor ESC. This will also power the radio system. For the GRUNT maker, I would use a 4s lipo with atleast a 20C or 25C rate. The size will depend on the fuel tank room of the airplane. Also big batterys are heavy! The Nutt.

Is that the Giles 202 50 sized? If so this is what I have in mine. It scooooooots like crazy. It does not have the power compared to the YS 63 I had in it, but it has more power then a 46 glow would have. I am running a 13.5X6 APC E prop.
