Default GP corsair 40 conversion what size batt and prop?

I am building a GPcorsair 40 and converting it to electric. I ordered a turnigy plush 80 and a 42 50 650 motor for it. But I dont know what size batt or prop to get for it? Any help in this will be great! I am new to the electric thing..

Thanks.

How did you decide on this motor?

I would recommend something in the 4260 - 560 KV range on 5S to turn something like a 14x8 or 14x10 prop. The Rimfire 5055-500 is also a great motor for the plane on 5S, you can turn around 15x10 and that will make it slightly more scale and give you good thrust.

Question of 5S or 6S depends on what you want to do in the medium term. A 5S set up is nice for 40-50 sized planes but not power for hard 3D, later you can combine it for a nice plane in the 90-110 range. As for 6S, its superb power for a 40-50 sized plane, 70 sized even. So you got to try and plan things out a bit. Then its also 3,600 mAh packs or 4,900 mAh packs. For me I went with 5S 4,900s as I am not much of a 3D pilot and I love the slightly larger planes. Works out well for me.

Again for GP to EP conversion on warbirds, you want some weight up front, so big packs are good for this. Something for you to consider ...

I am also in the process of doing this conversion, I have the Rimfire 5055-500 and 6S 4200 Align Battery (for the T-rex heli)

Any thoughts on using a 4 bladed prop?
