RE: need answers please
For this size plane a 46 bl out runner would do nicely. Monster motor.com Cost adout $35.00 and there are more powerful motors for about the same price out there. 60 amp speed controller minimum E-bay $10-150 depending on the brand. Going cheep is ok. You just loose some efficiancy. 4,000 mah 5 cell 30-40c Lipo would work great-Hoppy People or Hobby King. Check my blogs for more info on e-conversions at www.modelairplanenews.com and www.crazzyflyer.blogspot.com Run a 12/8-13/8 two blade prop to keep amp draw in range.

This is so you can power the radio from the same battery as the motor or use a separate lipo battery to power the radio gear.

plus you will need to figure out how to mount the motor to the front of the fuse.
Buzz.

I run a turningy g-46 brushless outrunner, plush 60 amp speed controller and a 3300 mah 4 cell 30c pack in my 4 lb 11 oz stick plane and it is crazy power using a 15/8 APC-E.
the whole conversion wad from HK was just over 100 bucks. Extra batts are 32 bucks each. I get 12 minutes hard flying. throttle management and easy flying should net quite a bit more time. probably have 40 flights on it now and not a problem.
