GP Super Skybolt .60 electric conversion - step by step
Hello guys.
I'll start putting together a kit of an ARF model that I bought about three months.
Super Skybolt biplane is the Great Planes .60.
The kit was purchased in Espritmodels and reached 100%
It cost U.S. $ 400.00 with shipping and tax paid. Still came out much cheaper than if purchased here.

Use only a battery and recharging aircraft in no way. hehe

As I only bought Heico 13x6 and was afraid that the engine would get weak I decided to do some bench testing.
The battery was fully charged.

With full engine would give a 12 min flight. It would be great.
If the model fly well with 75% of engine will give a 30 minute flight. A lot.
Motor speed and do not heat anything. It is all very normal.
I was surprised with the performance and horsepower.
Compared to my Tucano with petrol engine that weighs about 4.5 kg and has flown very well with 13x6 running at 8400rpm, which gives about 3.5 pounds of thrust, I believe it will be good for this model which will weigh nearly 1 kg less.
What do you think?

Amount stuck on the wing underside. Just put in position and screw the screw:

Ok so i looked up the spanish way to say excellent ;-). that is a real nice build there. This is one of the best looking bipes made. nice build hope to see some video .
