Texas RC Planes / OMP Katana 70 V2 Electric Conversion...>>>
Hey guys,
Just want to run some number by you electric guru pilots for my first 3D electric conversion project. I converted my Texas RC Planes Katana 70 V2 (OMP copy) from a Saito FA-100 to electric. I really know nothing about electrics, but I am learning quick.
Here are the airplane specs -
62" wingspan
60" length
984 sq in wing area
6lbs 8.0 ozs ready to fly
Electronics Specs
42-58 BL outrunner / 500KV
85A ESC / 5A BEC
4000mah / 5S / Li-po
17x4W APC "nitro" prop
Performance (measured)
Max Continious Amps 62
Max watt 1150
Creates 11.8lbs of static thrust.
Now here is my question. With the Saito 1.00 on it, I can perform every manuever in the book (except knife edge loops) at 1/3 throttle or less. Will this electric combo be roughly equivelant to that Saito performance?
