Default Sig Kobra Conversion??

Hi All
I'm in the process of building the Sig Kobra.. I would like to convert it into an electric plane..I've been getting some power system information on E Zone..I was just wondering what you guys would recomend..

I do have 2 E-planes under my belt, both were kits designed for E flight. The Kobra will my first conversion.

Here are Sigs Spec: weight 41oz/WS 45"/Wing Area 390sq. in./Wing Loading 19oz/sq.ft...The plane was designed for a 19-32 c. in. 2 stroke.

I've been looking lately at the Hyperion Motor 3019/10 and the 3025's..Here's the link..http://www.allerc.com/z3019spec.htm.
I've also looked at the AXI 2820's and 2826's plus the Hacker's a30's..

Please when you get a chance let me know what you think.. I'm not into 3D or need a rocket ship.

Thanks Dan

opps wing loadiong should have read 19oz. sq.ft.
Also with the trike gear 11" prop seems to be max.

Thanks Dan

Hi, you are probably on to another plane by now, thought I would add some thoughts. Did a conversion of my Kobra last year, it was a 30 os max flew great but I sold all my gas and only fly electric now, here is the set-up. AXI 2820-10 using TP 6 lipo-2100's, castle c. 45
foam wheels.Weighs in at 3.25 lbs. I lengthened the nose 2.5 inches for better balance and now looks more "F-5" like, really has good power with a 10-7 prop and full charge. 8 min flights, smooth landings, now if I only had retracts!

Hi Cobra7 I'm still working on the Kobra..I'm into the covering stages right now..This is my 3rd E plane.. My power system for the Kobra, Hyperion Z3025/08,Titan 50bec/ESC,Hyperion 3s2p4200, with a APC e prop 10x7 getting 430 watts at WOT, with a 10x5 350 watts at WOT.

My Kobra weight was a little over 3 pounds before covering..Did you use a TP 3s2p4200 for your battery??Also made my Kobra into a tail dragger..

How did your conversation turn out. I’m thinking to do the same thing, but l have the bigger Kobra I’m on the fence to go all electric. Glow fuel prices are going crazy.
