30-50 fun fly conversion

Default 30-50 fun fly conversion

i am thinking of putting a axi 2820/10 with 8 cells and a 11*7 prop using a jeti 40amp controller with the posibility of going to 9 or 10 cells.
the specs for the plane im planing to convert anong with a pic
Span 1220 mm
Chord 368 mm
Wing 4373cm2
Fuz 838mm
Weight 1.120kgs
any advice would be great thanks

Hi

the AXI would probably fly it well, but no 3D stuff. outrunners tend to become heavy when you want power form them. If you want good performance I would suggest a geard Hacker on 8-10cells, for sportflying an Axi 8cells would be fine.

I use a B408L 4,4:1 on 10cells swinging a 13x6,5 pulls 65A. flies my diablotin mini super for 8min. This motor would pull your plane with ease even on 8cells.

My 205g Hacker B40 will outperform a 400g outrunner.... I found outrunners good for scale planes, and aerobatic where the weight is´t that important. for 3D they just can´t compete with a geard motor. sure you can fly 3D with an outrunner but your plane will be either heavier or not as powerful.

evolution goes on, better and better outrunners come on the market, but same with geard motors too.
