Default ROyal Cessna 310 conv. to electric

Need help with Converting a Royal Cessna 310 from Nitro to Electric. Suppose to use twin .35 to .45. I would like to get a 10 min flight out of it it at least. Can someone help with motor, batt., prop, and speed control? Will be first conversion for me.

Thanks

Doug

I am thinking of doing the same thing, looking at 12-13lbs:

How does the Axi 2826/10 sound?:

HI DOUG, I'VE BEEN FLYING MY ROYAL 310 ELECTRIC FOR TWO SEASONS NOW AND IT FLIES
GREAT! SPECS ARE AS FOLLOWS: 2- AXI 2820-10, APC 11-7E PROPS, 2-40 AMP JETI/HACKER
40-3P OPTO ESC'S, RETRACTS. FLIES JUST FINE ON 2- 8 CELL NIMH PACKS RUNNING IN PARALLEL WITH A TOTAL OF 3300 MAH. (OR WOULD THAT BE 6600 TOTAL MAH? )

ANYWAY, IT FLIES GREAT AT 8# 12OZ FOR ABOUT 6-8 MINUTES. I'VE RECENTLY CONVERTED THE PLANE TO LI-POLY BATS. AND AM LOOKING FORWARD TO FLIGHTS IN THE 12-15 MINUTE
RANGE. WEIGHT IS DOWN TO ABOUT 7.25 POUNDS WITH THE LIPO'S.

MY PLANE WAS PURPOSE BUILT FOR ELECTRIC AND COVERED IN MONOKOTE. I CAN SEE BY THE PHOTOS THAT YOUR AIRFRAME IS ALREADY BUILT AND READY FOR PAINT. I THINK YOU CAN STILL HAVE A SUCCESSFUL CONVERSION IF YOU GO TO THE SLIGHTLY LARGER AXI MOTORS.

LIKE YOU, I AM STILL LEARNING ABOUT ELECTRICS BUT I AM COMPLETELY COMMITED TO THIS FORM OF POWER.

Bob, Excelent! Have you got a photo? I bet it's a FINE flier at 7.25lbs! I did quite a bit a writting with L.A. at Hobby Lobby. What a great group. We spent several e-mails back and forth with questions sellecting motors and batts. I ordered the 2 - AXI4120/14 and 4 - Kokam 3C 11.1v/3200mah packs. They arived today at work and are sitting in my case as I write. They were a bit $$$$ though. I am looking forward to getting it together.

Bob, let's see a photo!

JUST ANOTHER NOTE ON THE 310 CONVERSION-- MAKE SURE THAT THE SPEED CONTROLS
THAT YOU PURCHASE ARE LIPO COMPATIBLE!
YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO CONTROL THE CUT-OFF VOLTAGE OF ESC'S OR YOU'LL RUIN THE LIPO
BATTERY PACKS. (READ: EXPENSIVE)

ALSO- I'M RUNNING TWO SEPARATE ESC'S WITH A Y-HARNESS TO THE THROTTLE PORT ON THE RECEIVER. SEEMS TO WORK FINE.

HI THERE, I THINK I'VE STILL GOT THE PLANS THAT I USED TO BUILD MY 310.
THEY MIGHT BE IN A FEW MORE PIECES THAN ORIGINALLY PRINTED BUT SHOULD STILL BE USABLE.

I'LL CHECK IN THE SHOP TONITE AND GET BACK TO YOU.
I'D BE INTERESTED IN HEARING ABOUT YOUR IDEAS FOR THIS PROJECT. MINE FLIES JUST BEAUTIFULY AND IS VERY LIGHT.
