Outlaw
Does anyone have experience making an electric Outlaw by Jerry Smith, or similar airplane. I am wanting a speed plane with an electric motor that would be competitive with the noise makers. 100+ MPH. I would like some specific info on motors and amp draw.

RE: Outlaw
Rob Honeycutt from S. Carolina used the following setup:
[ul][*] Hacker B50 18L Direct Drive with mount shown in prior post[*] 12 CP2400 cells, modified pack to fit compartment[*] 40 amp hacker speed control with BEC[*] 8-6 folding Graupner "cam" prop[*] Hitec mini 225BB (67 oz / inch) Servos
[/ul]
With this set-up , should get around 13000 RPM and weighs 70oz RTF.
You can save weight by using Lithium cells also, but at additional cost.
