Default Gobal .15 AT 6 Texan

I finally decided to try my hand at a conversion, I've had this plane for about a year and it's in great condition, I went out and bought an AXI 2814/12 with a Jeti 40a amp ESC, the specs say 31 amps for a 10x5 prop on 3 cells LiPo's. I am planning on using a pack that I just made, 3s4p 8400mah . anybody have any opinions on performance? This is my first AXI on a plane this big, AUW is 2.5 punds with a 44 inch wing span, I can break down the battery, the way I made it is 3 cell series packs and I am using an FMA parallel connector.

Enrique,

Thats about the same pack Im using with my VMAR 40-46 size Texan conversión, TP 4S3P 6200 weights 17 oz.

A real world test for a 2814/12 shows:
10 Cells NICAD, APC 10X5 = 45 oz static thrust , 28 Amps (at sea level)

Your power plant will be slightly under these figures in terms of V and Amps.

I think your complete pack is heavy for that guy. Im converting the Modeltech Me-109 (A bit bigger than yours) Im using 2820/10 on 3S2P TP 2100 (9.5oz 30 Amps avg disc).

If you can "divide" your pack in 3S2p or 3s3p, depending on your cells brand and capacity, should be perfect. What cells are you using?

Hope it helps.
