Default Global Tequila Sunrise : Suggestions?

Global Tequila Sunrise : http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LC1048&P=1

Wing Area: 288 sq in Weight: 3.25 lbs

Would a geared 550 motor work? Such as the Trinity Gem series?

Thanks!

Do a search on "Endoplasma" in the electric airplane forums. The Kyosho Endoplasma is a very popular 550 size motor for electric airplanes. What made it a bad/mediochre car motor makes it an excellent airplane motor. It'll power many .25 sized aircraft. What's better is that it only costs $20.

The TQ .25 is the biggest P.O.S. ever made. I had it with a O.S. 25, 4 Hitec HS-81MGS and it was an over weight brick, and that is an insult to all bricks. On the 3rd flight the covering came off of the left under sid and it died a quick death. They did send me a new one and it was just as bad. No matter what I did when I pulled any more then 1/8 inch of elevator it would snap roll. The flights were not any fun. It does fly at around mach two and the landing speeds are in the high hundreds. Other then that I guess it is alrigt. I can handle the lightning speeds for landings but when you can't pull any elevator why fly. I think it would have flown better with a light weight .15 with a pipe and high nitro.

I have two other global planes and they are no where near as crappy as the TQ .25
