Default GP Ultra Sport+40 What Electrics?

I am looking for good recommendations for outfitting this kit with Electrics instead of putting a "slimer" up front.
AXI 41 series??? Prop, Battery etc.

I use a jeti phasor 30-3 on a 3s lipo. It turns a 11-5.5 at 35 amps or a 10-7 at 40 amps. Going to a phasor 45-3 and 4s lets you turn a 11-7 or I beleive a 12-6 ( i don't have this one but several club members do)

Check out my [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/Hobby_Lobby_Skylark_e%2DConversion/m_1429819/tm.htm]Hobby Lobby Skylark[/link] e-conversion thread since it is virtually the same size as your Great Planes Ultra Sport.

Johnnyjetprop, you must've done some signifigantly light building on that US40+. How's it fly?

What I'm waiting for is a flight report on Greg's Graupner Extra conversion. He's going to use a 4120/14 AXi and a 4S LiPoly pack. It's another idea for a .40-size aerobatic conversion.

Matt, I should have been clearer in my post. I'm not flying the US 40. These are the motor combs that I have used or seen used in forty sized airplanes.

Thanks Greg! What a great service you guys do for those of us in the hobby. MUCH APPRECIATED!
I am from the old school... I like Kits or scratch building. So it's the Ultra SPort for me. However, that ARF Skylark does look nice.
I guess I'll get that AXI order ready!
I'll probably stick to LiPoly's straight off, I like the weight savings.

I never thought Electrics could be so fun, now here I go converting glo-powered kits! LOL

I use the Jeti and Maxcim motors in my .40/.60 sized warbirds and sport planes.

Red,

After all your hard work is done building, covering, and trimming your new kit, you can have more peace of mind knowing that it will be powered by a clean, low-vibration, electric power system that has unparalleled reliability.

Good luck!
