Ace Simple Corsair
Thinking about an electric Ace Corsair. I hav done a search, but most of the posts are older, and I know there are alot of new options available.
I also hear that the kit is heavy.
Looking brushless, LiPo, mostly interested in speed.
Any recs?

I heard that the kit is heavy myself. Somebody did manage to get one in under 20oz, IIRC, and ran a Speed 400 in it.
Assuming a more sane weight of, what, 32oz? You'll want about 200 Watts, or a 3S LiPoly at about 20 Amps. One option is the AXi 2814/12 with an 8x6 prop and 3S2P Kokam 1500 (8C) or 3S1P Kokam 2100 (15C) packs.

RE: Ace Simple Corsair
Hmm, my finished airframe I just sold weighed 11.5 ounces with regular Ultracoat and 2-56 control rods . With a Razor 400 or a Himax 2025-4200 in a GWS "C" gearbox turning an 11x7 HD prop and 3 Waypoint/Bluebird 6 gram servos it should have weighed 20 ounces with a Kokam 3s1p 2000 Li-po and have 30 to 35 ounces of static thrust and 50 mph speed at least.
