Default Avistar to Electric Conversion

I have a Multiplex 480 motor with a 4.1:1 gear reduction and two 2500mAh 3S LiPo batteries that I could connect in parallel. Would this motor be strong enough to power an Avistar?

I have used a 10x8 prop with this motor before and it consumed around 32A (about 350W) at full throttle.

Thanks.

Yes, it should work. I flew one with a jeti phasor 30 on 3s pulling about 40 amps.

How well did it fly with 40A? is the Pashor 30 similar to a Brushless 480 in power or is it the speed control you used?

On my setup, it would consume about 32A with a 10x8 prop, do you think it might lack some power or fly like it had a 40-46 glow engine?

Thanks.

Jeti phaser works great, it is close to a geared 480.

Would I get about the same performance as with my 46FX glow engine?

A good flyer on a 4S 3200 Kokam lipo with the Jeti.

See my Avistar Conversion thread. JJP also has experience with a similar set up.
