Default Hobbico Superstar 40 Conversion

I want to convert my one-year old Superstar 40 to brushless and need recommendations for motor, ESC, and batteries.

I'd like to make it a bit more agressive than the OS40LA that came with it.

Thanks for any input.

Don

This is what I did two years ago for my Avistar. Don't mistake it for the BRUSHED motor conversion I have posted now.

Jeti 30-3 motor
Jeti 40-3 controller
12x4 or 10x6 prop Direct Drive
14x7 or 15x8 prop with a 2:1 Gearbox (you can use a cheap Greatplanes SP 600 GB comes w/prop adaptor)
For batteries use GP 3300 cells Nimh
8-10 cells Direct drive
12 cells w/gearbox

7-8 minutes DD 10-12 minutes w/GB

Model Electronics Corperation has lower cost MOTORS if price is an issue. I use many brands of motors. I have used my JETI the longest and in the widest range of planes. Big and small it flies them all.
