Default Rascal 40

I've read somewhere in here an AXI 4120/14 was used on a Rascal 40

Can I use an AXI 4130/16 on a Rascal 40? If so, what prop size? Thanks

You can use any motor you want, provided it can handle enough power to fly the plane the way you want it to fly, AND you provide it with enough battery and the right size propeller, so the power actually gets from the battery to the air.

The 4130 series motor might be a little heavy for a .40-size plane, but the 500 Watts or so needed to fly this ~6lb, trainer-like airplane in a convincing manner will be cake for this motor.

Check out www.modelmotors.cz for the motor's application chart. You ought to be able to find a prop/battery combo that will release at least 500 Watts of pain on the surrounding air pretty easily.
