Building a C123 Provider
Aloha, Is anyone building/flying the C-123 Provider from Palmer Plans? I started building the C-123 two months ago and thinking of converting this to electric using two Axi 40XX. I got some questions on building and flying! Mahalo.........Hank

You've come to the right place for powering the plane. Building and flying, you might find someone in this forum, but you stand a much better chance in the Scratch Building forum for that...
Anyway, what are the vital stats on this plane? Number of engines/motors, weight, size, etc..

RE: Building a C123 Provider
Thank you for pointing me into the right direction. The Provider is a 1:12 scale, 110" wing span, 1223 sq. in., 75.75" long and the target weight is 14lb 10oz. using two O.S. MAX .61 ABC. 7 Channels, flaps, retracts, and loading ramp. The conversion from the two .61 gas will be two AXI 412014. Here's a question, being that this plane will be using 12 servos, what kind/type of batteries should I use for the receiver? The servos are all digital and I know they will be using power all the time.

RE: Building a C123 Provider
The 4120/14 is a good choice for getting 700+ Watts x2, which is what you'll want for a 14-15lb "heavy-metal" scale airplane. 16 NiMHs or 5S LiPoly, propped for 40 Amps peak... You'll have a winner on your hands.
