Default Composite/fiberglass landing gear?

I am in the finishing stage of my Funtana 40 conversion and am/was planning on using the extra long composite gear from Fiber-Tech. They have been out of these(and all landing gear) for some time now because of production changes, and I'm wondering if anyone has any other suggestions for this 6lb plane. Thanks in advance..............[8D]

Check out http://www.bollyprops.com/Landinggearus.html

I've used their carbon fiber F3A-wide recently with a 9 pound electric Sig Mayhem, and it worked great. I've tried other brands on a Funtana 40, and they were very flimsy.

Thanks FlightAddict; I also see that GraphTech has a similar product thru TnT, so I quess I do have some options. Fiber-Tech came highly recommended, so I looked at their product first.....

Troy built models carries a gear for the funtanas. I will be honest, best not to use the factory blind nut locations with the gear and install in a better location. The span in between the bends, in the top of the gear, is not really wide enough but will work since I had no choice but to make it work- glassed in the landing gear area first! In stock and 30.00 and you'll have them in a few days!. I have clearance for a 16x8e apc and could squeeze a 17 if needed.

I'd be happy to help you with a taller landing gear. I've been making custom carbon fiber landing gear for over 5 years. I currently have a mold for the Funtana 40 'extended height' that I made recently.
