SIg 4*40 Gas-Elec
Hey all,
I saw that FlyRC mag had a small article about converting but as a beginner with electric I could not get enough info out of it. I built a *40 with a 52 surpass in it but never flew it. After remembering how to fly with a Gymgallo and a Magpie I'd like to make it electric.
All suggestions are welcome. If you can help me out I'd be happy to start a thread and post progress.
Thanks,
Steve

...mmmkay, isn't this a thread, and didn't you start it? I think you're one step ahead already
What all did you miss in the article? I believe he listed the battery, motor, prop and ESC that was used in the conversion. The rest is just basic building skill to mount the motor and battery in the plane.
Would you like to head out in a new direction, and try a combination that hasn't necessarily been tried before?

RE: SIg 4*40 Gas-Elec
Disregard. I was looking for general advice and spent some time at the hobby shop today. That conversion was going to run me about 350+ versus a setup I have ready to go.
Someday I will convert over to electric for my larger stuff but right now the entry price is too high. I'll stay with electric for the small stuff for a while. That's enough.
