Default Cheap .40 trainer conversion?

i have a RCM .40 trainer i wanted to make into a cameraship. i allready have a phoenix 25 i was going to upgrade to a 40 so i could switch its use between my heli and plane. so first part of my question is 40amps enough for a trainer size? i realise it depends on the motor as well. so the 2nd part of my question is whats a cost effective motor to use in that situation? i want a little bit of control authority, i want to be able to cruise at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle with room power up incase of a bad situation.
could ebay cheapos or tower cheapos be advisable in this case?

The Tower Pro 3520-7 would likely work just fine for that application.
