DC-3 on electrics!!
Hi everyone, i need some help here. I'm building a DC-3 Kit and i wish to go from gas to electric, but i don't have any idea of wich motor (speed controler and bateries and props too) should i use instead of my O.S. .40's that i was thinking of using. I live in Central America so getting parts is sort of difficult, but anyway...any help will be really apreciate. Thanks.......

Depends on what size bird you are running, how much it weighes, and what kind of performance you want from it.
This one's a Polks Hobby 72" W/S, 8 pound version I just finished. I built it to look like an AC-47 gunship, instead of a normal DC-3. It's electric.

Hello, plane looks good! I also have one of these. Mine has 540 motors in it. I have flown it once with a 5s lithium pack. It flew well. Very scale-like speeds. Need to land it on smooth surface though. My main gear folded on landing. What set up are you using? Out runners would work well.
