Hi, an AXi 4120 equals a .60 size. I run 22.2 volts 4,000 ma spinning a 12 X 8 prop and it hauls a 12 pound PT 19 with an 85 in wingspan with no problem. Norm

As normgoyer said: An AXI 4120 could be a good choise.
But not on 3S LiPo... 5S or better 6S is needed for .60-conversions. On 3S you have to drain close to 100Amperes to make a .60-model fly!

Since you said you are in the 11x8 propeller-range it sounds like you want to fly a pattern-plane or sport-plane, and no 3D. Then the AXI with least windings and highest kV is what suits best. AXI 4120/14... And either 5S or 6S LiPo. 5S could be enough, but maybe with a slightly larger propeller, like 12x8 APC-E.

Hi, my AXi is the 4120-14 model and it is an excellent motor. Norm

Here is the trick, this setup it would be for my Aquacraft airboat, I still need to use the 11x8 prop or at least 11" prop is the max before having clearing issues.

You need RPM when there is a prop size limitation. The only way to get RPM is more lipos in series, or a smaller motor with more KV. KV being RPM per volt. The AXI 4130 can take 10 lipos in series, but, it will be wasted swinging an 11 inch prop. and you still won't be able to emulate a nitro motor spinning 10,000 to 15,000 RPM.

If I were you I would research another motor manufacturer. The end result has to be a motor that can do the same as nitro, because you have two limitations that are critical, 11 inch prop size and a 14 lb airplane weight. In my humble opinion, you may not be able to do this conversion and overcome those limitations unless you can find a motor that has a KV or 1,000 or more, swing an 11 inch prop, and run on 10S lipos, that is 10 lipos in series.

I may be wrong, but, I can't wait to read what others say, it is an unusual problem.

Is this what you have?

If so, it's a .46 size motor. For a .46 repacement you could go with an Axi 2826/8 or Mega 22/30/x motor. If you want a .60 size motor then you'd have to go with a Mega 22/45/3 or other can motor.

I'd be more worried about what would happen if this boat were to ever blow over and dunk the motor while it's running. That could get ugly.

Put some wings on your boat and have some real fun, boats are great if you can get in them and go fishing. Norm
