Fox, we need more info..... Weight, wingspan, which wing ? flat built or with the dihedral ? ......

But with that said I think I would go with a .60 size eflight motor and there 60 amp esc with either a 5s or 6s pack ... or if it's light enough and you just want a basic Sunday flyer that can do a loop or roll here and there then I might use the e flight .46 motor and with the same esc on a 4 s pack but it would be a bit enemic tho....

and 4S pack 5000mah

Something along those lines and inexpensive.

PT-60...... Wingspan: 71" Wing area: 888 sq. in. Length: 53.25" Weight: 7-8lbs. Airfoil: flat-bottom, but I will build the sport version with less dihedral.....

fox,

I think I would use a .60 size motor on 5s for that plane running a 13x6 prop to start since your building the sport wing.... here would be a good choice for motor as a lower price starting point = http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m606-big...030-400kv.html

and this esc would make a good combo = http://www.hobbypartz.com/07e-flyfun-60a.html

and I think I would use a 5s 5000 mah pack with this set up..... but the best thing to do is get yourself a good watt meter and test diferent props to what works best and keeps the amps where you need them.

Can you recommend a good watt meter?

The only watt meter I have ever used is the astro flight ... But it worked very well and showed not only the amps but also the watts and volts . I think there around $50 to $60 bucks now....

Here is a link to one http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LX3605&P=0
