coming back into the fold.....

posted this earlier this morning in the wrong forum, now posting this here where it might get a bit more action :

well folks...been away for quite a few years and have sold much of my planes and gear...but kept a few things also...

i did keep this, brand new not even put together yet

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=HCAA17**&E=N

i also kept my JR9303 with replacement DSM module. ialthough i could set this plane up with any number of 2 or 4 stroke motors i still have, i would like to set it up with electric to restart myself in this hobby.

could you please give me a suggestion as to correct brushless power SYSTEMS that will give strong performance to this airframe so i can get my groove back...

i have kept 5-6 other planes that are ready to fly but really dont wanna risk crashing any of those....YET

i will start with this trainer and work back into it....

thanks for the advice folks

One obvious solution would be to use Power 46 motor (since that name suggests equivalency with a .46 glow).

E-flite http://www.e-fliterc.com/Products/De...odID=EFLM4046A 4s-5s, 13"-14" prop, 60A ESC

Tacon

Turnigy

EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT ELECTRIC POWERED FLIGHT
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7100376/tm.htm

This e-book will help you if you want to broaden your knowledge of electric.

Looks like you got a great recommendation. However if you are still unsure, using a motor selection resource can be helpful too. The Electrifly system works well. I have had good experience with the Rimfire motors.

The calculator will let you vary the prop size, flight character, weight and other parameters.
