Flight Pack for Stinger10 Conversion
I am finishing building a Stinger10 ("baby" Stinger) kit from Lanier. I fly mostly electric---So I would like to put in a reciever with battery elimination circuitry and some light wt servos. It takes 4 servos. It will end up about 1.5lbs. This is a 36in wingspan plane.
Any suggestions for an economical flight pack? I use a JR8103 transmitter. Thanks, Steve "If man were meant to fly he would have been born with gimbals in both hands!" |

Hitec makes some of the best, and most economical gear around. A JR-compatible Electron 6 and HS-81 servos is what I would use.

That is exactly the flight pack I have been looking at. Do you think the HS81s could be useful in a future electric powered plane? Or are they too heavy for that? What are your thoughts on the HS81MG? They are a little heavier yet...
Thanks, Steve |

You don't want to put yourself in a tough spot by buying servos that are too small. HS81s are good for planes of 16oz, up to about 3-1/2 pounds, and on smallish control surfaces of larger planes.

Matt
Thanks! Exactly the kind of information I was looking for. I'm going to go with the HS81s with the nylon gears and an electron6. I will be posting some of the building photos on the ezone under the same topic heading. Steve |
