Thanks. I have seen these claims before but I haven't found any reviews or actual test results. I assume if it can turn a 17x12 a 16x8 3 blade should be fine ... right? Especially given I'm not after peak thrust ( quite the opposite) just the ability to idle well and transition smoothly etc.

Those figures are very close to my OS200FS. I am turning an apc 16x14/17x12 at around 7200rpms. I currently use a 4 blade 15.5x12 for my TF P-51 which turns around 7,100 on the ground, but was clocked at 94mph last weekend at our club event. (It probably gained 1,000 rpms more in the air at full throttle to reach that speed).

Is your 200s pumped or nonpumped? Also have you ran a 18x8 or 19x? prop? IF so what were your impressions. What % nitro do you usually run? Thanx!!

I have the regular FS200. I have not tried an 18" prop yet because it does not suit my needs at the moment. I usually run 10% omega in this engine. It does not rev a lot on the ground, but has lots of torque to swing a 4 blade prop with a 12" pitch.

AussieDom, there's a review of the 1.55 in the local Airbourne mag this month.

All over it like white on rice custompc. Numbers look good, even for an 18x8.

I'm interested in hearing comments from the owners of the OS FS 155... How do you like your engine? Any problems? I'm thinking about getting one for a 1/4 scale WWI biplane.

Thanks!
