Hot plugs
We got a slight break in the weather yesterday and decided to go to the flying field for awhile. However, engines that had started easily and ran fine all summer were really reluctant to start and did not want to run well after they did start. Would replacing the glo plugs with a hotter plug help in this regard? A shot of cigarette lighter fluid would make them start immediately but they would then die and refuse to start again until I gave them another shot of lighter fluid.

RE: Hot plugs
Yes, it makes a difference. What plug are you using now? Most I know, use OS A3 (renamed # 6) plugs. I prefer MC-59 McCoy.
What engine are you running?
Increased nitro content helps too.

RE: Hot plugs
The two I took with me were a GMS .61 and an Evolution .455. The GMS had always been hard to start the first time but then started great for the remainder of the day. The Evolution was always an easy starter and both are great performers. Alas, both were engines I picked up used somewhere and both have unmarked plugs in them. I have heard really good things about the Fox Miracle plug. Any thoughts about them out there? I have some new OS A3 plugs and have been meaning to get some of the Fox plugs and try them.
