I'm beginning to love Enyas
G'day engine lovers.
Yesterday I flew my Enya 53 4C TN in my Sig Mid Star. What a nice engine. I have long been a fan of Saitos and I quite like my few OS four strokes but the little Enya really impressed me yesterday. I ran my usual 10% nitro, 5% castor, 15% Klotz T-200 mix with a 12 x 6 APC and the little Enya just purred.
It is quite a surprisingly quiet engine in the air and seems at least as powerful as my other similar four strokes. It also starts easily though not being able to put a normal pocket glow driver on the plug is a bit of a downer. I had to resort to a pack of Sub-C nicads (in parallel) with a cable with some alligator clips on the end but this worked fine.
I have also been flying a new Enya 45 SSBB (ring) recently too. It seems to have little compression but it hand starts easily and is now flying my Skyraider Mach 1 very well at a rich setting. I think it will be a keeper too.
And my oldest Enya, a CX45 (AAC) which came cheaply from eBay is also a great engine in its Somethin' Extra.
I really am having a great Enya time at the moment.
Any one else?

RE: I'm beginning to love Enyas
G'day Thanks for selling it. It is really a great little engine.
I had it in a Kadet Senior (ARF) and it flew that well too but someone wanted to buy the Kadet from me so I put the Enya in the Mid Star. It was fine in the Kadet too - they don't need large engines and the little Enya is a great engine.
Cheers and thanks again.

Ummm...off the top of my head....Enya 19X, couple of early 35's and a BB35, model 6002 .40 (x2), model 6001 45, model 6002 45, 60-IIIB (new production run), 60X-III and the latest 61CXLRS PRO (that's the rear exhaust CL engine).

Ipicked up one of these to try out on my Enya 60 FS since Iam rather intimidated by the proximity of the prop to the glow plug.

G'day
The 53 four stroke came with a glow plug extension system which is similar to the one you bought. It has a false plug which bolts on the left side of the engine near the carby. It works well too.
Cheers

G'day Jeffie. A friend had a 60 4C in a small Fly Baby some years ago. It was a perfect combination until a tree ate it.
The smaller Space Walker I have has a Saito 62 in it and that is a good combination.
Cheers
