Default Mystery Motor, Can you ID?

Found this at Estate Sale, have no idea what it is.
The only identifying markings are a 12 on one side and some kind of logo on the other that looks like a slanted "M".
It runs like a scalded ape.
;-)
What the heck is it?

Look for a "Made In ......" marking.

What size prop is on the engine?

It's a MVVS .77

Great engine BTW, read more about it in the MVVS forum.

Having a squarish head and six head bolts and four bolts holding the cylinder, its got to be an MVVS or a great imitation.

Bingo! It clearly has the Modela logo on the exhaust side. MVVS engine were sold under the Modela brand for a period. 12cc would imply .73ci, but that may have just been marketing because the only MVVS actually displaced 12.7cc or .77ci.

My thoughts as well. Moki also rebrands (rebranded?) as a "Mark" and the trademark was a stylized sloping "M" on the crankcase.

Greg, RCdude and Hobbsy have it ... it's a Modela "badge engineered" MVVS .77. If it has good compression it's a keeper.

If not, send it to me and I will put a new Piston / Liner set in it

Yes I agree it is a Modela 12cc engine which was made by MVVS for the Modela brand.

It is an MVVS. Have one or two .60, almost identical looking.
