Default YS 140 Sport

This engine will not idle at any setting of the low speed NV. What it does at idle setting is slowly decrease in RPMs and stop. According to what I have read this is an idication that the setting is rich but when I lean it out it does the same thing in half the time. The engine is mounted inverted and I'm using Byron 20/20 fuel with an OS "F" gow plug. Any suggestions on what is going on? The engine runs fine at WOT and midrange.

You either need to flush out the diaphragm and plunger or get new ones. They are regular maintenance items on YS engines.

Thanks, for the reply but how does the regulator play into this. The engine is brand new and I have about 1.5 gallons of fuel through it.

The regulator is all about fuel pressure. If that fuel pressure is not stable, your needles will not do what you want.

On YS engines the low speed screw is an air bleed so turning it in makes the mix rich.
