Default Saito to Magnum

I have a Saito 91 installed in a plane. I am going to replace it with a Magnum 91 4-stroke.

The reason the Saito is just plain tired and i already have a NIB Magnum. I am running a slimline 4007 muffler on the Saito. The thread on the Saito is different from the Magnum.
1 Does anyone know of a adapter that will thread into the Magnum so i can still use the same muffler?
2 Does anyone know if the YS 120 thread is the same so i can use a slimline muffler from that?

Thanks

Idon't know the exact Satio treads off the top of my head, but they are ususally standard metric threads. I had no trouble finding a tap to match the 120-150-180 exhaust size. 14 x 1 if I remember corectly. The O.S. engines and therfore the Magnums have special threads. I was not able to find a matching tap for them. I'm not sure about the Y.S engines. I've never owned one of them.

The master of stripped threads,Clarence Lee would be the first place I would look to to make an adaptrer to mate the twothread forms. It may be pricely though. I'm sure it isn't a stock item.

Good luckand let us knowwhat you end up with.

FA91S mufler thread is 12 X 1.

FA65 through FA100 all use 12 X 1 thread.

That is true. I have one of the Mag 91's and it has outlasted two 4*60's. and is still running strong.

D_bodary, you could probably get a Slimline muffler foran OS 91 four strokefor less than the adaptorwill cost. I Have one on one of my Mag 91's

That is if this is the setup you are looking for.
