The new 55AX is here ... now

Looks like the latest 55's have a different carb and muffler indeed. (40K instead of 40J , and E3071 instead of E3070) Has anyone noticed a performance change? A new thread here to see who had the latest version.

So why hasn't OS made a big deal out of this, call it the 55AX II, and raised the price?

    Thanks!

I bought one a while back and will be shipping it to fellow Bro, McDDD for a comparison to the old version. Mostly be a carb test. Stock mufflers are replaced with a Macs header and Coke can (Coke can pipe/CCP) for usage on forty sized slabs.

Will do. Gonna box it up. This weekend and get it out by Monday. Too much work lately.

What is the 55X they are coming out with
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skip in sideways, a glass of Malbec in one hand and chocolate in the other. Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming " Woo Woo, what a ride"

They changed the carb from the J version to the K version. Just mailed the engine out today.

I don't seen them on the Tower site. Is someone swapping the carbs and mufflers and reselling them?
