Default OS 61 SF Throttle Arm

I'm in the process of setting up a new plane using an old reliable OS .61 SF. This is a great running engine but I have run into an issue. The plastic throttle arm was badly damaged at some point durring storage and is unusable. My search of the OSand Tower websiteyeilded nothing availablefor this engine.Iattempted to modify a servo arm to fitbut after two attempsboth have cracked when attachedto the engine due to a pocket for a splined shaft or screw head. The engine is in otherwis great shape. Does anyone have ideas for a workable throttle arm on the carb?

Thanks.

Carl

Just bend up something out of 1/32" or so sheet metal, and drill the right size holes.

Locate a junker parts engine.

Bend it like this one, depending on what yours looks like if you can't find one. I couldn't load a pic, the other day. Good now. (oh, maybe not) Just a Z bend to get the clearance right for the connector.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

As for a junker for parts I've had no luck.  A fellow modeler in my club has one but want's a fortune since it's in good shape.   I found one at a swap meet but it was in rough shape and was still way overpriced.

I may try to bend something out of metal or make another arm from a servo arm.  The servo arm idea seems good but the pocket for the spline shaft does not support the center on the carb barrel.  This means it fragile and cracks before I think it is tight enough.  I'll find something.   I'd say that I was going to post a picture but that seems unlikely on this website.

I'll bet a throttle arm from a TT .61 pro would work since its essentially an OS SF clone.
