Last missing piece to vintage VECO .19? Needle screw.
Greetings!
I found 5 old model plane engines that were my grandfathers. They seem to be from the 60's and 70's. I'd suspect they haven't been ran in over 40 years. I got the first one of the batch cleaned, and put back together. I don't know much about model plane engines, but they can't be too different than a diesel or simple weed eater motor.
The engine has good compression and the glow plug might still work (can't get it out however).
I'm missing a little piece that seems to screw into the needle port tube. (help me with this terminology!) I'll show a picture of the restored engine and where an elusive piece is missing from.
And the missing piece.
I believe there is a needle of some sort that screws into this hole. Anyone know what its called and where I can get it?
Thanks! And if any one wants to see the other engines I have just ask!

That would be the needle valve, That is what is called a control line engine, No carb on it and you adjust the needle valve and it runs full power until out of gag, The way the control line planes do it LOL The don't use the throttle in most cases in control line and there is a almost cult following for control line but not overly popular as it was in the 60's and 70's, Back then radio control was extremely expensive and in some cases had to literally build the radio LOL but with the price and commonality of radio and it's dependability it has mostly taken over what Control line was. Vor that vintage engine you will have to watch ebay for parts, Not too many left out there, Maybe another brand needle could be used but I wouldn't know what would fit.

I don't believe the crank shaft is bent, might just be the picture, there is a bit of brown on the cast that gives it a bit of an illusionary look. And thanks for the ebay link, would that type of valve work on my 4 bolt engine style, since the listing says its for 3 bolt type?
EDIT:
Bought the valve any way, looked at mine and it seemed to be the same as mine, thanks!
