Default Mixing fuel

I am thinking about mixing my own fuel, but need to know what oil to get and where to get it. I will be mixing for ys four strokes. I have done this before while in Germany and had great results. I used aero synth over there 22% and had no problems.

what are you all using?

thanks jeff

Hi!
Here in europe Aerosynt 2 and 3 and Motul "Micro" are popular brands.
Standard mix seems to be 15% oil and 5-10% nitro and the rest methanol. But some engines (MVVS) run better with a Little castor oil added
(2%-5%).
Over in the US Klotz sell both Castor oil and syntetic oil.

SIG sells castor and Klotz; $23/gal and $39/gal respectively. Around here, most fuel is 18% oil. I use 20% castor oil as standard in aero engines, but I don't care about the slime left behind like so many other guys are. Aerosynth/Aerosave and Motul Micro are about $75/gal plus shipping here in the US. They are far superior to the synthetics available in the US though. 5-10% nitro is usually all that's needed unless you have a low compression engine that needs 20-30% to run right.
