Glow head brotherhood.

I have considered doing that myself since I lost my Cox clip. I have a glow head socket somehwere, used to provide a remote location to connect your igniter on scale. Consiering using that so that I can clip my glow igniter to it and not carry an extra battery.

Bernie and Xena run the place and are, or were, IIRC site sponsors? They should have anything you might need?
There is also a forum section devoted just to the small engines.

Unfortunately, it is hard to send something to India, as it tends to never make it to its destination. So that is a tough problem to overcome.
What you very likely need to do is find someone you know who is coming back to India and see if they can carry it back for you.

1,056. I just use 1,000. RPM X pitch in inches divided by 1,000. The thousand is inches per mile and minutes from seconds yada yada. It is pretty close with a low drag plane. At least you will know that it will not go faster than the calculation. So 12,000 rpm on a 10-6" prop will go 72 mph. 12 x 6 = 72 mph. There is 80% efficiency, and lift from the blades, and rpm unloading in the air but that gives an idea.

Cox/Bernie won't deliver to India. Things disappear in the mail. Raj, you can just use a tiny alligator clip on the post of the plug, and another clip on some other part of the motor, make sure there is a bit of insulation on the post clip so it doesn't short out. The two wires could be fastened on a clip made from a clothes pin too but that would take a bit of engineering and effort.

Figures, there's been plenty of good flying days now but I still haven't been to the field. Been working too much. By the time I get out, go do an estimate or two, get home and do some paper work to try and get paid, it's usually midnight. I'm either sitting home hoping for the phone to ring, or the phone rings off the hook and there's not enough hours in the day. Right now, there's not enough hours. But I'm not complaining about having work. Someday I'll get to fly and build.

So I finally got around to starting the break in on my super tigre 3250. I'm really PO'd right now with super tigre. I found a website that was put up by ST saying that people were having a hard time getting them to break in and idle so I should blah blah blah. So I did what it said and lucky I didn't snap the wrist pin and smoke the crank. They recomend starting with the HS turned out 2 1/2 to 3 turns and go from there. So I did. The thing would barely run, but I ran 16 oz through it anyway. Barely. So then, I tried to lean it a tiny bit and it quit and was crazy hot. I knew something wasn't right at this point. I went and downloaded the manual to find that you need to start with the HS at 4 to 4 1/2 turns out. What the heck? They had me so lean that it would barely run. At 4 turns I'm reaching about 7000 rpm which is where I want it right now. They need to take that bad info down before someone fries a brand new engine. I'm not sure if did any actual damage, I don't think so, but I'm sure I took a few flights off of the life span. I now have about a half gallon through it and after a couple more tanks I'll start working on the idle.

I think I got lucky and figured it out quick enough. Like I said, it's running great now. Starts on the first or second flip every time and will run out 16 oz without hesitation. Throttle response is good from coming up from idle, although I haven't tried to idle it for more than a second or two. I know the LS is still quite rich yet so I wouldn't expect too much from it yet. I'm just glad I didn't seize it up.

A Don't think you hurt it Steve. Maybe broke it in a little fast. Keep me informed on how it does as I am putting the same engine in my twist 150. They call for a 4 stroke, but I am a 2 stroke nut. I have a twist 40 with a evolution 46 swinging a 12.25 x 3.75 prop. I have a twist 60 also with a evolution .61 swinging a. 14 x 4. I really like the 60. I hope the 150 flys as good or better.

I will Harry. I didn't care for my twist 60 that much, but I think I didn't give it enough chance to get it dialed in. Also, every time I flew it was a dead stick landing. It had a GMS 76 that needs a ring. Then I electrified it and liked it even less. Now it's a dust collector.

They are certainly not a fast flyer. I have mine set on high rates more than they spec. I can shoot it straight up and spin it faster than you can count till it almost out of sight. Had a few dead sticks but it came in nice and easy. The 14 x 4 prop seems just right on it. Works like a air brake when you take it to idle.

Maybe I'll dust mine off and give it another shot one of these days. With a different two stroke. The GMS pulled it nicely when it would run. It did however have a good glide. Dead sticks were a snap.
