The Turbo thread is an M8 x .75. The place I went to had it in stock for about $12 I think. I have a few 1/4"-32 taps. Ace used to carry them at one time. I don't think I will use it much any more when I have seen the difference that the Turbo plugs make on the smaller motors anyway. Aerohobby has the Nelson size listed for $25 but it is not in stock. I think that is a bit much too. I am pretty cheap though. I sure wouldn't want to single point thread a blind hole for a turbo plug. Both of my lathes don't have that option anyway.

I have 6 .32SX engines, 4 of which started life as the heli version. Last I looked, the airplane-version heads were still avail. from Tower. The other problem is that the heli crank is several threads shorter at the prop stud. With a spinner backplate, prop and washer, there's barely room for the prop nut to thread on more than a couple of turns. Without a spinner, the heli crank is OK.

Here's the Cyl. head. The crank is no longer listed.

Hi Skyrat71,

I sent a PM to you a few days ago. I was wondering if you'd gotten it. I haven't heard anything....

Bob,
Yes I got it and sent you a quick PM back, which you apparently did not receive. Not the first time I've had that problem.

I love this engine. Machined crankcase, head clamp, button, carburetor, piston, etc. I love barstock engines. 9x6 APC at 18,200rpm from a .35. (Drooling)

I'm gonna try getting a .56LX this year to keep my .35 company. I've saved about half of what I need for it.
I cannot even begin to describe the howl the .35 produces at speed... I'm sure I've posted the following picture before, sorry if I have. About 1,000rpm rich of peak on an 8x6 break-in prop.

Awesome! Please, what fuel nitro and oil does it need for that performance? Thanks.
Sincerely, Richard

Break-in run #3 video. At around 1:33 you can see some snow get blown around in front of the engine. Air temp was 45F. http://youtu.be/-kAPnW5apGU

This video is my little 5.5# airboat going almost 50mph with this engine. First real speed run; it's going 55-60mph now. http://youtu.be/UtU1aUSGzdA

The boat the .56LX is going onto is in this video currently powered with a TT .46. http://youtu.be/rs_c9DJww0w

These things wouldn't be nearly as cool powered by gasoline engines. Period. LoL.

Richard - Jett sets the engines up to use 15% nitro so that's what I use in it.

Wolcome fredsedno to the brotherhood of glow lovers, A.K.A, GLOWHEADS. Your #101. Tim, that engine runs sweet eh?man, I'd love one. The boat is cool too. Never really gave much thought to em, till now. I fly float planes a lot, so the boat would be cool to bring too. You got plans for that one?

I didn't use plans for the little Jett boat but there are plans available. I used a few wild guesses on sizing for that one. The one in the video is version 2.0. Version 1.0 was a fail. Too narrow and too short. I have plans for the medium sized .60-series version of the little Jett boat. They are Selph Inflicted 3-point hydrofoils. Rcairboats.net

What a cool engine. I thought my Irvine 39 made a pretty good howl on a 10.5x4.5. Your .35 is almost exactly the same size and weight as mine, but what a screamer.
