She's a beautiful piece of workmanship. I have been chewing my fingernails watching the weather reports hoping the cold will subside soon. While I'm waiting for the weather to improve, I'm getting a different test stand built to better accommodate the full piped exhaust on this engine. I have a couple exotic chunks of wood to use up.

Does the crank have some sort of protective coating? The color is a bit odd. Almost like an even coating of castor stain with a hint of green.

I don't believe it's coated with anything other than oil from the factory test & tune. The crank in my .35 looks a similar color but slightly darker. I don't know what color Powermaster fuel is, but that could be where the green may come from as that's the fuel Dub uses/tests with.

I don't think so. I think it is gold and white, oh wait, it is black and blue. Or maybe gold and black, or gold and blue, or black and white, or blue and white???

What's going on here? Someone involved in a scandal? I now believe the green color was my monitor as it doesn't look even slightly green on another. But I believe it may have a gray color from some hardening, with just a little castor stain.

Welcome f16man. Your #102. This weathers got to change. I'm going nuts here. Today I fired up a plane in my basement just so I could smell the sweet smell for a minute. Wife didn't like it as much as me. Lol. She'll get over it.

Here's a bit more noise for those still cooped up in the house. It was like 45F here today. Good day to burn some fuel. This is what 2oz per minute sounds like. http://youtu.be/eDfCZMoo36w

For some less stellar video watching... Broke in the Enya .15. Still running it pretty rich. Peaked at 13.3k on FAI 80/20 fuel and over 16k on 15% nitro. Sticking with the nitro!! http://youtu.be/EeMkoSUrhI4

And a slow motion video of the Enya 15 running at the 2/4 break. Turn up the volume so you can hear it. http://youtu.be/6-HrFTHlbAg

She sure is a thirsty girl. I almost bought a Jett last night. There were three of them in the RCU classifieds. I finally this morning said screw it and went to buy it,,,,,gone. I just got plans for a Q500 seeker. That engine would move it about 150 to 180 mph.

I saw those engines. Good pricing but one thing about Jett's - they don't last long in the classifieds.

You could email Dub and get a quote. Tell him what you want to do and he'll build to suit. He's a super helpful guy even if you don't buy from him.

I found the exhaust note of my Enya .15 changed substantially when I switched fuels. FAI 2/4 break was at around 12,500rpm with a distinct "pop", but on 15% nitro it lost the "pop" and moved the 2/4 break up to about 14,500rpm. Lots of extra power going to 15% fuel though.
