Nah.. I've never had any luck getting pumps to work reliably with stock carbs. I'm not spending any major dollars on this engine. Once the engine craps out, I'm gonna put a good engine in it. Maybe a nice inboard K&B or Something of similar vintage.

No doubt about it, we Aussie blokes are fair dinkum :-)

I had to check the Dinkum. Apparently it is not "disposable income" or "double income no kids"

1. "DINKs" are "Dual Income No Kids" .

2. Fair Dinkum

slang, Australia
  • : unquestionably good or genuine : excellent —often used as a general expression of approval <these cigars are fair dinkum>

And then there's the income your wife doesn't know about HIFAP "Hidden Income For Airplane Purchases".

Well I've only had it on the test stand so far, but that motor is supposed to be a gem among the motors made in China, on the stand it runs very nicely, very tight.
I'd say if you can find one in good shape or even new pick it up for sure

I think SteveGauth has been busy with other life pursuits... He was the starter of the club and kept all of the member numbers. Try sending him a PM.

PM sent. Oh I got a new engine test stand what do you guys think? It should handle anything I throw at it and more. I love the hand built workmanship!

Must be tough keeping track of all them, send them to me and I'll inventory and store them for you.

I have 54 or 55 engines right now - i may have a few more heading my way in the near future too. I have a couple I'm going to do some experimenting on. I've already done a mod job on a Picco .28 truck engine and I'm almost finished doing a Novarossi .28 truck engine. The next project is a near new OS .25LA that is going to get modified... I was hoping to do a baseline run this weekend.. But of course Murphy's law has to intervene.. We've been spoiled with unseasonably warm weather the last week or so, now it's going to snow and get cold again.. I was hoping to start my LA .25 baseline runs as soon as this weekend before starting that mod project... I guess that gives me time to make a new test stand.. Ho hum..

W O W , sure like that - would you post a purchase link ? What are you planning to mount it on?

T-Man this stand is made by hand on order by Ron Sexton over in Tickfaw, AR his email is [email protected] contact him for details. He makes two sizes I bought the larger one. I plan on mounting it to an old Slap & Deck'em Workmate II that I own.

Glow Update. I swapped for Saito 1.80 and a Super Tigre 2000. The Saito is on my new 4Star120, I have no clue what to do with the 2000.
I think I already have about 50 engines already, I am too scared to make an accurate count because it will confirm my addiction.

Jeffie, it pains me you are suffering send the ST 2000 for me and I'll take care of it for you. You are welcome to send along a few friends to keep it company otherwise it can sit with my S3000. ;-)

I'm almost contemplating selling an engine to afford some Picco turbo glow plugs... Picco plugs are a bit more spendy than Novarossi plugs...
