Sounds drastic, are there any neighbor kids on the block you could sell to the salt mines or something?

Nah.. I have a few engines that I don't need (who needs 5 - yes 5) Enya .15-IVs..? I'm keeping two. I have a few other engines that I don't need or want... Makes room to get some engines I really want and some glow plugs too. I just sold two OS .46s... That bought be a turbo head for my Picco .28.. I love me some turbo Picco..

Im finishing the port job on my Novarossi Legend .28 for a monster truck. That's a turbo engine too. Should really rip it up. Both the Picco .28 and the Novarossi Legend .28 are super badass Truggy/monster truck engines.

I have twin babies due in July, so I am trying to work my trades out and get some stuff sold to have a little bit of a hobby stash out away. I still need to find a piston ring for the ST X60 I got from Jeffie too.

Exactly. LoL. Thanks! We're doing battle right now trying to pick names. It was hard enough to pick my oldest sons name.. Picking two? Ugh.. What I like my wife doesn't and vice versa.

Well for boys there is always Pat and Mike or use the old German tradition of naming them after the grandfathers or great-grandfathers. My wife has a lot of Alberts in her family tree because of this tradition. For girls you can fall back on the old English tradition of using Faith, Hope, or Charity.

We're having a boy and a girl. I think our best "match" is Maya or Aubrey for our daughter and Lucas for our son. My wife changes her mind almost daily, so I'm sure by the weekend she will have something else on the list..

My oldest son will be 4 in a couple weeks and his name is Jacob. We use family names for middle names.

My son is fanatical about anything transportation related. Trains, cars, trucks, construction equipment, etc. He likes running my RC cars with me, but he isn't quite big enough to hold a transmitter himself yet... We'll see how he does with an airplane if I can get to the park this spring with my Ultra Micro T-28. It's light enough to not be "registered", so to the park we go.

Always a good idea to start them young! Maybe you can get the twins into a completion between each other when they get a little older? ;-)

I have heard girls are more natural R/C pilots than boys so she might enjoy beating the pants off her brother!

I used to instruct small college classes to learn to fly indoor r/c and then we flew in the old basketball arena. I always had females in my classes and they learned slightly differently than the males, but by much. I never had any problems with them. Males were better all the way around because they like to do stuff they think they're not supposed to, and always thought I wasn't noticing. This was especially true when I procured 4 coax helicopters that had dogfighting capabilities. Pretty much the same was true when I taught kit building but a couple of the females were very good at building.

I was going to go with a J'Tec and mount it to a board for now but then I saw this one and that was it I had to have it! I looked at the small one which is a little cheaper but then I thought I might need the ability to test a gas engine in the future and bought the big one.

How much for the big one? I borrowed a bracket from a guy for gas engine testing, but it was scary, I had to hold part of it tight because of vibration. For my small engines I got a flat piece of pine wood and carved an opening for the engine. The regular engines (average size glow) I do have a nice mount. But still , all that looks like junk compared to this one.

EBay is a good source. There is a guy or two making reproduction needle valves and selling them fairly cheap. I think the last set I bought was a pack of 3 for $11 shipped.

I need the type that are the "L" shaped wire with the threads cut on one end. I need the .60/.75/.90 size. those are all the same.

thanks

There are tons of needle valves on eBay right now. Some are the shorter ones, but AFAIK they're all the same size/thread pitch.

I had bought a 4-Star 40 a few years ago and the bearings went bad on the OS .52 4-c.
I got a rebuild kit from Noel (nubsdoesparts) on ebay and a ring from Baal (Franks protege)
I started taking the engine apart today and every freaking bolt has RED locktite!!!

I could only get one head bolt off. I guess im going to use heat.
I wonder if covering gun heat will be enough.
I've never used Locktite (blue or red) after a rebuild.
Just ranting i guess.

Unless the threads are less than perfect it makes you wonder what some people are up to . I buggered up a thread on a asp once before I realized there crankcases are made from cheese .
