Default Saito 1.8 exhaust vent nipple

OK guys,

What are my options? I went to the field last night, made one flight, landed and noticed the vent nipple popped out of my exhaust. So I take the cowl off my edge and think Im just going to screw it back in as it vibrated out. But to my surprise it is stripped out and will not tighten back up. Weld? solder? retap? help?

If it's a steel pipe you can braze the hole shut drill and retap or just braze the nipple into the pipe. If the pipe is aluminum then I don't know.

The hobby shop had one size bigger nipple so I drilled and tapped it. Put the new one in with permatex excessive heat thread locker. Will see how that holds up.
