Default Imp ta152h

The advertised weight of this model is between 17-22 lbs dry. I'm considering using an OS BGX-1 3500 for the power plant and needs some feedback on this selection.

very reliable engine, but a bit underpowered for its size and weight. Google around, and there is a port mod that you can do easily that will wake it up. If you havn't bought it yet, consider a Moki 1.80 or 2.10. Just as reliable, more power, and equal quality IMO.

if wanting a glow engine of more power i have a MDS 2.18 i could sell cheap. it has more power than the Moki/Mark 2.10. i have both engines and the MDS makes more power on the same muffler.

Glad yours are still running but the one and only one I had seized. Your right I only use OS and Saito engines after going the cheap route. You can add Magnum to the POS list and I bet you have one of those in your collection.

What about the Saito 220. It should have more power than the 3500 and sound much better.

yes i do but I have many engines all from different MFG's. I have had issues with all of them. bearings in OS engines, crank pins on ASP and EVOs, bad carbs on magnums, stiff rings in Saitos and so. They all have issues over time and if you dont then you just dont fly that much lol

My old H9 thunderbolt 150 with os bgx 35cc great running engine, never deadstick, but needs very long time to runing in properly.
Fuel 18% synt/castor 0% nitro, props iuse master airscrew wood 20x8 and 18x10=185kmh speed, with home made muffler.
Now 2 last season with os gt33 gasser, but its less powerfull than bgx
