Thunder Tiger Engines
I spoke to HRP today about the future of Thunder Tiger glow engines. It appears they will no longer be in the glow engine business. There are some of the new 46 Pro engines on the way and they will be making some replacement parts but thats it. I explained they will be missed.

It is a very sad development when company after company shuts down their glow engine productions. I guess our generation will be fine, there are still enough engines around, but the next generations will miss out on a lot of fun...

So what's left for new engine manufacturers? ASP/Magnum/Evolution, OS, Jett, Enya? Is MVVS still making engines? I think Mecoa is done making engines although not officially...

I was not really happy with the smaller TTs, but the Pro .46 is a good one. Hope they keep it going. Not many manufacturers left now. CS is gone too now. Hope Supertiger gets back going again. I think all it takes is a larger hobby shop to pull the trigger and order a bunch, and advertise a bit. The suppliers all seem to control everything. Planet Hobby got the Novarossi thing going just because they liked them, and a bunch of guys needed some.

Well, Novarossi makes a fine engine. They're all the rage in RC car and buggy racing. I have a modified .21 with boost chamber sitting in the drawer waiting for a home. Novarossi is priced pretty high - on par with Dub Jett's engines.
Either way, I'm still "into" getting a methanol buzz with the occasional whiff of ether and kerosene.

To bad about thunder tiger. I have a TT .53 redline heli motor. A very nice motor runs great.... Except it needs a new ring on it. About 20.00 for the part. Anybody could use it contact geeter1503 @ gmail. Com.
