Default I have a dull Prop Reamer.....

O.K. the reamer is about 25 years old and has lost its cutting power....how do you sharpen a prop reamer? Or do I break down and purchase a new one???? If so, which is the best.

TIA,

Jerry

Likely the 45 degree chamfer on the leading edges can be sharpened with a stone, or small dremel wheel. I have a Fox one that never really was sharp in the first place. (and a Harbor Freight one that had the flutes cut at the wrong part of the oval. On the three pack, two were bad, the same deal when returned. It was like step drills with no steps.)

Hi!
It's an easy fix! Just use a sharping stone or a Dremel with a cutting disk ...and sharpen the 45 degree angle end of the prop reamer.
