Since you're going to have the rocker cover off just turn the engine in it's normal direction and watch the intake valve open then close and turn about 120 more degrees. Easier, is to do this with the glow plug out and when the intake valve closes insert a small stick into the glow plug hole and feel the piston come up to the top. There are many other ways.

I grew up south of you in Hookstown.

I use this guy and set them to a about 10 to 12 inch pounds. It's more important that they be tightened equally than to an exact torque.

Nice where did you get that tool? Do you have to cut off Allen wrenches to adapt?

Back plate bolts and your rocker cover bolts take about half what this chart says. Their thread engagement is just too short.

Never seen a kgf.mm spec. More likely they left out the decimal points on the pounds force foot side.
.2 lbf.foot equals 1,44 kgf.m and .8 kgf.m equals 5.78 lbf.ft
1 kgf.m = 7.233014 lbf.ft

Don't read this just yet: OK read it now

According to this: https://www.translatorscafe.com/unit...-force%20inch/

2 KGF.M===2,777 oz inch, 2 KGF.MM===2.777 oz inch. which seems more realistic.

The GForce 6 in 1 Torque Driver Set is a revolutionary product, developed for drivers that demand perfection. This driver allows the user to set specific torque values from 2 to 8 KGF.M, so once you determine the correct value for each screw, you can tighten it to the exact same tension every time. This will help to prevent stripped screws, tweaked components, and adds a level of precision that the RC world has never known.

Never seen a kgf.mm spec. More likely they left out the decimal points on the pounds force foot side.
.2 lbf.foot equals 1,44 kgf.m and .8 kgf.m equals 5.78 lbf.ft
1 kgf.m = 7.233014 lbf.ft
Edit above: I transposed the units
.8kg.m equals kg.f equals 1.44 lbf.ft

That would make the range in Lb/Ft 1.44 to 5.78

The kgf.mm makes perfect sense for small fasteners in that case Dave.

Hopefully the links helped...

Hi!
All OS four strokes have a T-mark on the drive washer that should line up with a mark on the crank case when the piston is at top dead center.
