Y.S. 110 anyone?
Anyone out there in RCU land flying a Y.S. 1.10?
If so, would you care to share your thoughts.
I'm trying to decide between this engine, the Saito 1.00
or possibly a MVVS .91 2-cycle.

Mike, the MVVS .91 you mentioned must be a real torquer, the recommended props are 14x7 to 15x10. I ran an MVVS .61 for the second time today and on 5% nitro it is cranking a 14x6 APC at 9,700. The recommended props for the .61 are 13x9 to 15x6. It has got to be the easiest engine I ever set up and ran, their recommended needle settings are spot on.

Hobbsy, I checked the MVVS .91 specs on the Morris Hobbies website, which gives 12x12 to 14x8 recommended prop sizes. For a .91 two-stroke, I've seen posts from a pattern flyer who claims to be getting great results on his OS91FX with big props (relative to mfr recommended sizes), I expect on high nitro & tuned pipe. I've been flying a Magnum .91 XLS two-stroke this season, thought I was getting good performance with 13x8 at 10,600 with rich mixture. The MVVS is a long-stroke design, which helps on the torque end for big props, but 15x10 sounds like over the rainbow to me. Even at that, though, a 14x8 should give good performance.
